‍ ‍“I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.” Ps. 119:59

It seems only when we are at the end of ourselves; do we finally call out to God for help. He then faithfully delivers us from our afflictions.

And yet … He was there all along! Waiting and listening for our heart cry.

Sadly, instead of asking immediately, we find it hard many times to surrender and let go of the that tight grip of control. Many of us are famous for putting things in God’s hands, only to grab them right back from Him.

Clearly, it is not something we as a people do very easily, is it!

When we however allow Christ and His Word to bring light to our situation, we will find His joy in every season of our life.

Proverbs 3:17-18 tells us about the wisdom that comes from above. “Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those that lay hold upon her.”

We are being shown here the way to a better life. What are we waiting for?

Today, Lord, we ask thee to show us thy ways and to teach us your paths. We thank you for showing us the path of life, for in thy presence is fulness of joy and at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Living as a saint in light is all about our relationship with God through Christ. There is no substitute in this life for living in His presence and experiencing His peace, love, and power. Everything else is a cheap imitation.

Is Jesus the Lord of your life; not just on Sunday or when it’s convenient, but all the time? Maybe it’s time that He was!
