“If” and “When” and “Then,” pretty much describe our lives in general and our walk with Jesus.

How many times do we say to ourselves, “if” I just get this done, or “when” I finally finish this … “then” I can take time to pray and read God’s Word?

There is always a list of “to-dos”. Knock a couple off and new ones immediately take their place. It’s life, but does it have to be our life? Our mind is always racing, and we are no longer the head but the tail.

This merry-go-round we are on, is not going to slow down so we can get off and spend time with Jesus. We are going to have to take the time.

Of course, all the things that demand our attention have importance. “If” and “when” however, we take time with Jesus and pray, “then” everything falls into place as it should, and we have strength for the task at hand and peace while we do it.

What a difference prayer makes, and time spent in the presence of God.

Life goes better with prayer, so make sure you do. Seriously, we can’t afford not to pray. Instead of waiting on the “ifs” of life, PRAY!
