Get wisdom, get understanding. How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Prayer isn't always about changing what's happening around us. Often, it's about allowing God to change what's happening within you.

Remember the old sayings: you can’t see the forest for the trees and a watched pot never boils? They actually can describe our prayer life pretty well.

We are often times so fastened on the problem, we can’t see how to pray as we should, or we are constantly looking at the problem after we pray to see if it has changed yet. Sound like you?

Prayer is the language we speak to our Heavenly Father in. It is not just the way to get what we want or need from Him.

There are times when we pray, it feels like we have a bad connection or no one is there. This is because there is something on our end that is interrupting the signal.

Take a few moments first before you pray, to ask forgiveness for your wrongdoings/sins in Jesus’ name. This way you know you have a clear connection.

Since our Heavenly Father desires truth in the inner parts, be honest about your thoughts, feelings, and plans. As you pray things will become clearer, so as He opens your eyes, allow Him to redirect your path. We want His way, not our way; don’t we?

Prayer truly changes things; but it is not a one-way street. Sometimes, in fact many times, something has to change in us, in order for our situation to change.

As we pray, we must continue to walk in the love of God’s Word.

Have a great week. Walk in love by following the example of Christ. We love you.
